The Chefs of Hell's Kitchen Season 6Meet the Cast of the New Season of the FOX Reality Show
Meet the sixteen head chef hopefuls who are competing for the top spot on Season 6 of Hell's Kitchen. Hell's Kitchen Season 6 premieres on FOX on Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
Each year thousands of hopeful contestants audition for one of the sixteen coveted positions on the FOX reality show Hell's Kitchen. The top prize this season is $250,000 and the position of Head Chef at the Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. This season marks the first time that a Canadian restaurant has been used on Hell's Kitchen. As an added bonus, the winner will take over as Head Chef of Araxi in time to help prepare for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the Paralympic Winter Games. Red TeamAmanda Amanda is a 27-year-old Sous Chef in New York, NY. She attended the French Culinary Institute there, and has three years of kitchen experience. She has a competitive nature, and plans to give 100 percent to Hell's Kitchen. Ariel Educated at Le Cordon Bleu Schools of North America, 27-year-old Ariel is a Sous Chef in Los Angeles, CA. She has eight years of kitchen experience, and credits her grandmother as being her inspiration to cook. Lovely This 23-year-old is an Executive Chef at a children's camp in Chicago. She has five years of kitchen experience. Lovely was trained at the Illinois Institute of Arts in Chicago, and continues to learn with hands-on experience. Melinda In 2003, Melinda gave up on the corporate world and pursued her culinary dream. She graduated from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, and has spent the last five years as a private chef on yachts. She is 38 years old. Sabrina Sabrina is a restaurant manager in Phoenix, AZ. She is 34 years old, and has 15 years of kitchen experience. She learned to cook in Texas, and has a knack for Southern cuisine. She attended LeChef Culinary Institute in Austin, TX. Suzanne The youngest of eleven children, Suzanne grew up in Milwaukee WI, but relocated to Las Vegas to pursue her culinary career. She attended Milwaukee Area Technical College for her culinary education. Suzanne has six years of kitchen experience and currently works as a Sous Chef in Las Vegas. Tek A line cook with nine years of kitchen experience, Tek decided to pursue a culinary career after discovering that a desk job was not for her. She has no formal culinary training, and is learning on-the-job in New York City. Tek is 27. Tennille Tennille graduated at the top of her class in Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University. She is an Executive Chef in Fairfax, VA, and has 10 years of kitchen experience. Her goal is to become a great chef. Blue TeamAndy Andy is Executive Chef at his own restaurant in Boston, MA. He is also a cookbook author and an award-winning BBQ competitor. Andy gained his culinary experience from Johnson and Wales University. He is 39 years old and has 24 years of kitchen experience. Dave This 32-year-old Executive Chef is motivated by his accomplishments and success. One of his major accomplishments was to travel over 2,000 miles on foot along the Appalachian Trail. Dave has 10 years of kitchen experience, and gained his culinary education from Western Culinary Institute. Dave currently lives in San Diego, CA. Jim Jim is another aspiring chef who decided that an office job was not for him. He has gained his culinary education through on-the-job training. He is 34 years old and has 15 years of kitchen experience. He is currently a Sous Chef in Nashua, NJ. Joseph This 27-year-old Sous Chef has eight years of kitchen experience. Joseph gained his culinary education compliments of the United States Marine Corp, where he was a Food Service Specialist/Corporal. He currently lives in Massapequa Park, NY. Kevin Educated at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Kevin has worked in kitchens across the country. He is currently an Executive Chef in Middleton, CT. Kevin is 35 and has 13 years of kitchen experience. Besides heading up his own kitchen, Kevin has established several culinary programs in his hometown. Louie Louie has been cooking for most of his life, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He has 30 years of kitchen experience, and owns a diner in Fitchburg, MA. He lists Chef Gordon Ramsay as his culinary inspiration. At 45, Louie is the oldest aspiring head chef on this season of Hell's Kitchen. Tony Tony spent a year in Florence, Italy where he learned Italian cooking. Although he has no other formal culinary training, cooking is his passion. Tony has five years of kitchen experience, and currently manages a culinary store in Chicago. He is 30. Van Van is a 26-year-old fish cook in Dallas, TX. He has five years of kitchen experience, and graduated at the top of his class at the Art Institute of Dallas. He has worked with several celebrated chefs in Dallas. Resources:
