The hit reality show Survivor enters its eighteenth season in February with Survivor Tocantins. Thousands of people have tried out to be a contestant on the show, but only 16 were selected for this edition.
Spencer Duhm
At 19, Spencer is the youngest person to ever compete on Survivor. He is currently a student at the University of Florida, and a member of the University's crew team. When he is not in school, Spencer lives in Lakeland, Florida.
Sierra Reed
Sierra is a 23 year old model and fashion designer living in Los Angeles. She is a self-proclaimed adventure junkie and is used to roughing it, although she is afraid of spiders and snakes. She speaks her mind and is not afraid to disagree with people older than her.
Sydney Wheeler
Sydney is 24 years old, from Raleigh North Carolina. She currently lives in San Diego, having moved there to pursue a career in modeling and interior design. People misjudge her, seeing only a pretty face. She plans to do whatever it takes to win the game of Survivor.
James "JT" Thomas
JT is a cattle rancher from Samson, Alabama. People view him as a dumb hillbilly, but he is actually very smart. Besides dealing with the cattle, JT also handles all the marketing and paperwork for the ranch. He hopes he can find someone he can trust to create an alliance.
Carolina Eastwood
Carolina was born in Panama to a single mother. Even though she grew up in poverty, Carolina has a positive outlook, and plans to use her life experiences to help her win the game of Survivor. She is 26 and works as a bartender in West Hollywood.
Erinn Lobdell
Erinn is a 26 year old hairstylist and makeup artist currently living in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She is originally from Waukesha. She believes that most people see her as dumb, and she hopes to use that to her advantage in the game.
Joe Dowdle
Joe is a 26 year old commercial real estate specialist from Austin Texas. He is strong, confident and well-rounded. Joe wants to fly under the radar, but also hopes to make the right alliances and win challenges to become the Sole Survivor.
Stephen Fishbach
Stephen is a 29 year old Yale graduate who is currently an internet marketing director. He is confident he will be viewed as the geeky one. Stephen boxes and lifts weights. He also believes he looks like a Muppet.
Tyson Apostol
Tyson is a 29 year old pro cyclist from Linden, Utah. He believes his athletic background will be an advantage to the game of Survivor. In his opinion, the best Survivor player of all-time is Jon Dalton, also known as Jonny Fairplay, of Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor: Micronesia Fans vs. Favorites.
Brendan Synnott
Brendan is a millionaire at the age of 30, as the co-founder and CEO of the natural food brand Bear Naked. He views success as a combination of hard work, fun, passion and surrounding yourself with the right people. Originally from New York, Brendan currently lives in Vail, Colorado.
Candace Smith
Candace is an attorney from Dayton, Ohio, currently pursuing a career in modeling and acting in Los Angeles. She is the former Miss Ohio 2003. She hopes that Survivor will be the next challenge that she overcomes. Candace is 31 year old.
Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George
Taj is married to former NFL player Eddie George. She is also a member of the group SWV, Sisters With Voices. She grew up in Brooklyn and currently lives in Nashville with her husband and two sons. She is 37.
Benjamin "Coach" Wade
Benjamin is 37 years old and divides his time between Bolivar, Missouri where he is the women's soccier coach; and Susanville, California where is an artistic director and conductor of the symphony. He views coaching as a form of manipulation and plans to utilize his coaching skills while playing Survivor.
Debra Beebee
Debra is a middle school principal from Auburn, Alabama. She is 46 years old, and one of the oldest Survivors this season. She hopes that her experience in dealing with the different personalities of her students and their families helps her to deal with her fellow tribe mates.
Jerry Sims
Jerry is a specialist in Nuclear Operations. He recently returned from a stint in Afghanistan as part of the Army National Guard in Rock Hill, South Carolina. At 49 years old, he is the second oldest Survivor this season. Although he is a leader in the military, he does not want to be a leader in this game.
Sandy Burgin
Sandy is the oldest person playing Survivor this season. She is a 53 year old bus driver from Louisville, Kentucky. She is funny and fearless, and is the current School Bus Rodeo State Champion for Kentucky. She is looking forward to interacting with new people.
