The housewives are gearing up for the new season and on BravoTV.com they gave their views of what will be happening in the Season 2 episodes. They refuted some of the popular myths about themselves, and welcomed Kandi Burruss to the show.
Kandi Burruss is the Newest Addition to the Real Housewives of Atlanta
Kandi is a grammy award winning singer and songwriter with a successful career. According to her, Atlanta is the Motown of the South. She loves its parties and social life. She has recorded and worked with many music greats, such as Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Destiny’s Child, and Mariah Carey.
Kandi is recently engaged to a man with six children. She will be planning her wedding this season, balancing her fiancé, her daughter Riley, her friendship with Kim Zolciak, and cutting a new solo album. She feels confident she can get along with anyone, anywhere.
Sheree Whitfield is Divorced in Season 2 of Atlanta Housewives
Sheree is now divorced and has a new look with hair and style. Season 2 will see her promoting her clothing line, She by Sheree, being independent, and spending more time with her family. Bravo TV promises some upheaval with Sheree developing a new alliance with an old enemy.
NeNe Leakes, Lisa Wu Hartwell, and Kim Zolciak
NeNe Leakes, also known as “Miss Tell it Like it Is,” insists it’s a misconception that she’s outspoken. She says she’s really shy. She has been working on a new book called Never Make the Same Mistake Twice, a memoir of her life experiences. She will continue to search for her biological father in the upcoming season.
Lisa is hoping to have a baby girl to add to her brood of three boys, but she may have to put her husband's NFL career first. She will keep working on her clothing line, Closet Freak, her real estate firm, and her many other ventures. She donates some of the proceeds from her clothing to a domestic violence charity called Big Heart Foundation.
Kim mentioned her relationship with Big Poppa is up and down. Last season’s drama took a toll on her personal life. She will be recording with Kandi this season and she’ll be launching a new line of wigs. She continues to state that she is not a gold digger.
After the drama and feuding of last season, the housewives assure viewers that all is not well in Atlanta. They promise plenty of drama in Season 2 because that's what people want. At this point, they are all welcoming Kandi, the newest housewife, but will they give her the cold shoulder as the drama heats up? Tune in on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET/PT for the season premiere.
