Cody Bonnell is one of the front-runners in So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 2. Cody's YouTube emerges and shows his boyish charm.

Cody Bonnell is the fresh-faced hip-hop dancer from Unionville, Ontario who stole the judges hearts with his smooth hip-hop style and boyish smile. And after his first dance routine on So You Think You Can Dance Season 2, Cody won over legions of female fans.

At only 19 years old, Cody has danced for more than half of his life. Enrolled in dance classes at the age of 10, Cody's mom told him that ballet would help him with his hockey. Cody is also trained in jazz and tap, both of which should help him on So You Think You Can Dance.

And, if all else fails, Cody always has his lucky shoes. He wore the pink and black Kanye West designed shoes to his audition and subsequent finals. Having made it through to the Top 20, the sneakers are now his go-to lucky charms. Although it's thought he might sail through the competition easily, it never hurts to have a backup plan.

As the competition progresses, the dancers are creating a growing set of fans, all of whom want to learn more about their favourite dancer. With fan sites being freshly created, it's not surprising to find a Cody Bonnell video lurking on the internet as well.

A search of YouTube results in a humorous interview with Cody Bonnell. It appears the video recorded some time after his So You Think You Can Dance audition, as it's mentioned he's on a dance show.

Sitting in front of a computer at work with a pen tucked behind his ear, Cody is asked a series of random questions by either a friend or coworker. He giggles and shyly looks at the camera as a list of bizarre questions are launched at him.

From who is his favourite rapper, to whose grill he would kick knowledge into, Cody answers each of the questions. He admits that he would not get a tattoo of Mr. T riding a unicorn. He continues with the questions noting that he prefers ketchup over mustard. And, when asked if he would use his dance for evil, Cody smiles and answers, "Yes."

In his first week, Cody Bonnell partnered with Melanie Mah and danced a contemporary piece by Stacey Tookey and Nico Archambault. A dynamic duo, Cody and Melanie offered up a charming and fresh routine with excellent attention to technique. Luther called them the cutest couple and noted, "It was really dope and you guys did a great, great, great job." Blake even stood up and gave them a standing ovation.

Cody admits that he fears the week they draw ballroom. For many couples, it can be the kiss of death. For Cody and Melanie, it's unlucky as the couple are both well-trained and perform with strict attention to detail. But, should Cody find himself in a bind, he can always whip out his black and pink lucky shoes.
